Environmental Health and Safety Committee
In accordance with occupational safety and health regulations, NUTN has established an Environmental Health and Safety Committee to prevent occupational accidents and safeguard the health and safety of faculty, staff, and students. The 27-member committee is chaired by the president and includes college deans, relevant administrative officers, and labor representatives. It meets once every three months, with special meetings convened when necessary, to review environmental health and safety regulations, annual work plans, and operational management provisions.

In 2025, NUTN held three laboratory health and safety training sessions to strengthen laboratory safety management, as well as two contractor safety training and hazard communication sessions.

Space Revitalization and Resource Circulation — Reconstruction of Shushen Hall
Guided by a student-centered sustainability strategy, NUTN participated in the Ministry of Education's New Dormitory Movement, redefining student housing as an extension of flipped learning and intercultural exchange. Shushen Hall, originally built as a women's dormitory in the 1970s and later used for storage because of its age, was reconstructed with Ministry subsidies and financing. Work began in May 2022, and the building officially opened in September 2025 with study rooms, student discussion rooms, and a makerspace that extend learning beyond traditional residential boundaries.
